Prefer a used camelback or box beam type with 1.5” wide beam.

And:
Biax hand scraper

Ebay is the place to look, then. Expect to pay at least $10/inch for straightedges, 600 and up for a biax scraper. You can get new thin profile blades from Dapra, the last time I bought them they were $85 each (years ago), they also carry water soluble marking compound which is way easier to clean up than the oil based Prussian blue. I think Richard has some unmanchined castings for straightedges, also Gary Martin at Martin Model and Pattern has unmachined castings for straightedges and squares in various sizes.

Used to have our staff dinner at the AJ Spurs there in Templeton when we were doing national guard annual training over at Camp Bob. Always a good time. Been out for over a decade, so haven't been there in a while.

We worked with the CNG at Roberts and SLO. Several friends from SLO still live in the area.
Not much has changed over the last 10 years here AJs has the same stuff hanging on the walls!
