I need just four oval head screws to get my two Fastfire red dots mounted atop my and my buddy's Ruger Mark II's. I had to shim them because the elevation adjustment bottomed out and we're still about 2" high. I cannot believe that no one but the gun places, Midway, Brownells, etc., carry them and they're overcharging. Not even McMaster has them! o_O Anyone know any manufactures or supply houses that sell them?

Are you talking button head screws ?.

he said oval, which I understand.
Similar to the screws they use for wall plates on sockets.

Give these 2 a try. boltdepot.com and microfastners.com

Thanks FLguy but no dice.

Most of the ones Brownells sells are high quality hardened screws. Don't try to use soft imports or the sight will just tear off.

Got a good one here: blacksmithbolt.com

Try this, saw what I thought your looking for. blacksmithbolt.com

Make some.
Last year I made some (8-36, in this case) for an old Stevens double barrel.
It's not really hard. Turn, thread, swap ends and make the oval head. You can use a rod with a 6-48 hole that's tapped as a holder
last- cut the slot with a saw in the mill.
Oh, then rust blue.

I does take time, but, after all, this is a hobby.....
