Belated Update....
i successfully utilized the 8° fixture on the surface grinder.
it went better than i could have dreamed!

Here is the 8° Tool in its glory.
it has my 8° design on one end, the other has a rounded tool nose for excellent surface finish and high performance roughing capabilities
the surface finish is very smooth although the camera made it look like the surface finish is rough
