9 x 20 lathe feed prolom

A new one on mine, the whole machine suddenly locked.
I found the 80T gear that meshes with the spindle was sufficiently worn to slide over and mesh with the 127 gear at the same time thus locking the machine.
The 80T is mounted on my tumbler reverse and usually sits behind the 127 gear but when engaged to drive the lead screw there is sufficient wear in the mounting stud that it can wobble sideways enough to catch.
Shimmed the stud and all is well.

I fit the 80 tooth gear and reverse gear with roller skate ball bearings when I built the reverse tumbler, two less point to lube. It would nice to fit the two remaining speed changer gear sets to ball bearing as well, would take a little work.
