A simple positive threading stop

Today I added a threading stop to the dial that was just made. It will work fine for threading
small to medium size threads on the Springfield Ideal lathe. It was relatively simple to make
and allows one to back out the cross feed and advance it to where the pin drops in and
locks the cross feed. Then simply advance the compound for the next cut. If I have
heavy threads to make I can either not use the stop or use the Monarch lathe.

This photo shows the dial with the blind hole milled in it and the other ring that
is a through hole where the stop screws into. I used 1/8 inch pipe thread to
affix the stop to the ring.
