I noticed the Acorn CNC controller supports ethernet connection to the control PC. I use Ethernet Smoothsteppers with my CNC machines, but have been not fully satisfied how well the ESS and Mach4 work together. I'm looking for other solutions that still uses Ethernet.
Anyone using the Acorn CNC solution and how happy are you with the hardware, the integration into your CNC, and the Acorn Mill Pro software? How well does it integrate with custom pendants? I have a modified Yaskawa CNC pendent that interfaces to Mach 3/4 using a USB PoKeys 57 board. I don't want to have to give it up.
