Well, I'll be jiggered. Looked like an external ring.
Nice to keep learning things.

Personally, I would put a internal Spirolox retaining ring in there in stead of a Truarc or Rotor Clip ring. Less likely chance of the ears of the Rotor Clip rubbing on the internal portion of the bearing causing unnecessary wear on the bearing.

Even with the outer race butted up against the ring. You think there could be a chance of it rubbing? Guess I never thought about that.

Check it out. As long as the "ears" don't rub, you're ok.
