Albrecht Chuck droping drill bit

Thanks for clarifying. I honestly didn't want to sit through the whole thing. Of interest is that I bought a brand new Albrecht 1/2" chuck on ebay and took it apart before using it, just to see how it came from the factory. They used a lot more grease than I expected on the bearings but at least on mine, the spindle threads were dry. I wonder if the chuck those guys got was stored so that the lubricant migrated to the spindle. Who knows.

In any case, a clean dry spindle is important for the chuck to function properly. That is the information we need to convey.
 
The grease That Albrecht uses is a green PAO lithium grease that is very expensive to source since it’s only sold in large quantities. I’ve used Super Lube and it seems to hold up well but never on the spindle threads.
