American hole wazzard hp

I just purchased a 9 speed 9" x 36" arm American hole wazzard radial arm drill press that needs a lot of cleaning up and TLC to make usable again . I really shocked to see the spindle motor is just 3 hp ! the up down is 1.5 hp the machine is aprox 5300 lbs without the knee . I hope this machine is worth the 1400 $ that i paid for it ! The electrical compartment cover needs repairing (handling issue ) and AB motor starter damaged . Are these good machines does anybody have a manual !

I owned one about twice that size, and they are a truly fine machine, but one thing to be particularly careful of, when moving the arm up and down is to make sure that the detent on the lever is returned to the neutral position after moving up or down, otherwise the clutches can be burnt out (expensive) I do not know if your machine is made the same, but it happened to mine (after I sold the business)
