Another 40H

It should be a B&S #9. I’m fairly certain the collet chuck is original to the machine, so I doubt the spindle has been reground.

If you can access the drawbar threads from the bottom, I'm sure that you could make a puller to get that out. You would probably have to cut the collet holder off so that you could push directly against the spindle nose and not have any load on the bearings. Maybe a large bearing splitter would work there, you wouldn't have to wreck the collet holder?

I feel like that’s the path I’m one. ...Use the lathe to make arbor adapters for the bench grinder to mount a diamond wheel to grind a scraper to scraped the gib. Maybe I’ll make a steady rest and taper attachment for the lathe. The taper attachment would be handy if I ever get this collet chuck out of the mill for turning some B&S Tapers...at some point, I’ll need up with a ridiculously well equipped shop for no reason other than it was fun to do.
Did you ever get the collet chuck out? Have you tried white vinigar?
