Here's mine, took a bit to figure out how I wanted to mount everything. The x and y axis were pretty straightforward. The Y needed a bracket made to hang the scale off of the table (1/4" 6061) and the reader bracket from the kit was milled to match the 4 degree base. The Z axis got a little more involved. I made a faceplate from .100" 304 to replace the plastic cover, then mounted the scale to it. The reader (moveable) was attached to the quill via a stainless arm and rod. A stainless cover mounts to the faceplate. Hopefully this helps for someone looking to mount a DRO to their small mill.
The only thing I am not happy with is the loss of the stop switch for the x drive motor since I mounted the x axis scale on the front of the table. I didn't want to lose the y travel to put it on the back. I never leave it unattended, so hopefully not a problem.
