Another take on a Turners cube

Looks great! We have another member by the name of Frabrikator who made one like yours, leaving the cubes attached. He has done several decorative machined items. If you like doing this sort of project, you might want to check out his stuff for ideas.
 
Now I'm going to have to gear up for mass production. Several family members and friends want one.

I like it. My local wood turning club had a demonstration of making the wood version some time ago. Nice to see a metal version.

Did you drill the holes for the inner most cube first then make the bigger holes working towards the outside?
 
Yes. Started with a 3/8" drill then made the other bores from there.

Nice! Now I know I've found a home. My main machining goal happens to be bass guitar parts.
