Another watchmakers lathe

Did you here about a fluid for the slides as well? I heard about using Shell Tonna S fluid for the slides

no I haven’t I just been using the oil I had for my IME lathe a thin synthetic oil but I will google it.

Ive seen that oil is what they use for the slides so im thinking of trying to get both.

have a look at this I think it’s probably a little over the top for us it’s designed for big machines by the look of it.

Thats exactly what i was seeing was the s3. It probably is over the top. Just want to take care of our old machines. Trying to find a differnt soul to use.
