Atlas Craftsman lathe stop/ indicator holder

Here is a simple carriage stop/ dial indicator holder for 12" Atlas Craftsman lathe. I started to two 1" wide aluminum blocks, one with 1/2" height and another 1/4", cut both to a bit below 3.5" long. Drill two holes and tap the bottom pieces. Use a 1/8" rod, locked in place with two set screws.



I can choose any distance by adjust the 1/8" rod with the set screws



I can also lock a dial indicator to the rod and it can serve as an indicator holder.

I wouldn't use it to stop the carriage when in 'feed', something might happen you don't wish for.
