Taking forever. And generating alot of heat, since my last blade change 2 weeks ago.

I got frustrated with it today and actually and started checking it over. The teeth on the blade were pointed the wrong direction. Apparently when I took it out of the package and unwound it, it ended up inside out.

Cuts much better now.

Yep, just remember the life of that blade is much shorter now.

As an interesting aside, businesses that cut a lot of thin-wall stainless (like for car exhaust headers) use a high-speed bandsaw with the blade installed backwards so it's using the smooth edge. Never tried it but it apparently works pretty well, friction cutting right through. I'd have thought that it would work-harden the stainless but apparently not.

Mine was a carbon steel blade, and the teeth dulled near instantaneously. I put a bimetal HSS on. Cuts great now.
