Here you go, Shawn. Saved for posterity. Let me know if you need something more specific. You can see how the races are milled into the tube, and the bearings fit the spindle.

The "exploded" view. Everything goes in this order, but the rear bearing needs to be pressed on with the spindle in place, of course.

Yes. You need a draw bar to hold the collets tight, so it's bored all the way through.

Got me, but surely enough for what this mill is designed for since they were direct replacements.
 
That is a first for me. I have never seen where the outer race (cup) of the bearing is an integral part of the spindle. I wonder how hard they are compared to with inner race (cone) and the rollers?
