Benchtop Gear Hobbing Machine

Hey Bryan, what happened to this project? I discovered the Martin Models Gear Hobber kit today, and am considering it for my next project (as they are local, and my other projects are sort of getting to the "just spend a lot of money to finish them up" stage), so following this thread was really kind of a neat start.
 
I’m sneaking back up on it. Been over a year since it went on the back burner. This winter is it.

Nice! Well, I'm 1 big order of fittings away from finishing my steam plant, so I think I might pick up the Martin castings on Thursday and start to see what it'll take to get a gear hobbing machine of my own!
