What machine is king ! I just picked up a 30" swing box column that needs to be taken apart and cleaned up and already have a 21" cincinnati bigford that i restored 5 years ago both machines have 5 hp and speed ranges from 70 rpm to 1500 cleerman weighs in at 3750 lbs the bigford a little bit lighter .

You already know about the Cincinnati. A little operational time with the other will probably tell you more than anything else as to which one to keep. Heavier is usually better, but there are other features that may be more important if they're similar in weight. Mike

Well when you get it restored. You can give us a side by side review of the 2.

How about Cincinnati Bickford?

Is that a old Ajax or Fairbanks gas engine next to the drill press?
