Bison 6 Jaw, 8 inch Chuck Gamble

I was able to find a set a of new jaws on eBay. I need to drill the holes out for 3/8 in on five of the jaws. Got them drilled and installed and all aligned and runout good. So I have a matched set of jaws and its all cleaned and greased with Bison grease and ready many years to come.

I got a D1-5 backplate and mounted the chuck on my Grizzly G0709 1440 lathe. She’s ready for work.

The tool post grinder is a Themac J45. Works great and easy to adjust to different heights. They are very expensive new so I searched for a while and found this on eBay. It was listed as used government surplus but it was never used. Came with all the accessories, case and grinding wheels. Got it for under $400.

This one deserves a fullon....

Man that is a beautiful chuck. I like 4jaw Bison scroll chuck,but I would realy won't mind a set-true chuck like that. Enjoy
