I'm building Jan Ritters flame eater engine engine. I changed the threaded fastener sizes from meteric to US standard imperal sizes. I was stumped why the external threads I was putting on the brass supports came out undersized and would pull out of the threaded holes in the cylinder. I then realized that I had used the wrong column in the threading table - minor diameter instead of major diameter. I think I now have a 6-32 instead of an 8-32. Now to cut off the threads and put in studs. DUH.

That (or something like it) happens to us all. No worries, just start over.

Been there, done that more than once. I'm usually relieved that no one's in the shop when I realize what I did.

Build you a stand for your engine,
The world went bone head
