Bridgeport Milling Machine - $1600 (Norfolk)

This is the second time around for this ad. Something is fishy, but not sure what. Working Bridgeports for under $3000 don't last a day around here. Maybe its 440V and scaring the homeys off. Or maybe it's a scam.

For some reason it looks freakishly tall, and is the power feed is just hanging?

Looks like a project, and what's with the spindle dropped down?

I guess if you need to just "get the job done" it might be good but if you want precision I'd check it out pretty carefully....

I think you are right too, thats weird to show the spindle down. Guts outta the power feeds makes me curious as to what is wrong with the mill since they took the stuff thats working or worth something.

Keep in mind that this area is ludicrous for used equipment pricing. A Bridgeport with the quill disassembled, the table feed broken off, probably with a forklift, went for $1800 at government auction. One just like it with the added feature of someones initials carved into the table with a 1/2" end mill went for $1600. Clean Bridgeports around here are $3000 and up.
