Can I just buy a T-Slot Compound for my Lathe?

Also you may not need a T slot on top. You can drill in a post on a flat top for your quick change tool post.

That is a good idea, and I thought about that, and looked at them. What I really want is a nice, flat sided, compound with a slot like the one that came on it.

I take it you bought it used, have reached out to the guy you bought it from? Maybe he still had it.

Not an option. It came from an auction.

I think the PO may be deceased, but I'm not sure? Anyway. No. I can't do that.

Good idea under other circumstances, though.
