Can't Thread Finer Than 28TPI on LMS3540/Sieg SC4 Lathe?

As I was trying the different gear combinations I thought to myself what would have been the easiest fix that Sieg should have done to rectify this issue and it would have been for them to move the idler down about a smidge! This would have solved most problems.

The yoke, sometimes called a banjo, is the metal arm that the change gears are mounted on. It is part #83 in the LMS parts diagram (which calls it a “gear box” for some reason unknown to me). What I am calling the hub is the round part protruding from the leadscrew support (#84) that the yoke clamps onto. It’s behind gear “D”.
