I picked up some carbide tooling today at a local salvage yard (Moses Glick north of Reading PA) . About half of the inserts show a small amount of wear under 4x magnification, the rest look new. The same for the endmills. All of the micro boring bars show some wear, but would appear to be usable with a little diamond lapping. $26.50 ($20. per pound)

Great score. If those boring bars are carbide, just one of them costs more than you paid for the whole shebang!

Nice find! Im not far from Moses Glick. Does he normally have inventory of lathe tooling or you just got them at the right time?
