Carriage Stop 9A

Hello all,

Complete and utter noob here with an operation question. Does the carriage stop like the one below, stop the carriage and pop the clutch open?? I have used a much larger lathe under instruction; turn this, do that, etc.... and it had this effect, stopping the carriage.

Yeah, makes me want to paint and polish mine!

Just to clarify for the original poster, a stop does NOT disengage the automatic feed. You are expected to disengage the feed manually before the carriage hits the stop (say 1/4" before) and then run the carriage the rest of the way to the stop by hand.
 
That stop sure looks like one I refurbished for my 10 L but I sold it because it was the wrong one for my lathe. I do like that style though.
