Chuck slips on taper

An arbor that has been slammed into a junk jacobs taper is not going to be all that accurate. I would toss it.
 
Found a pickle fork that fit between the chuck and the lip of the arbor. (Talk about luck, it's the only one I have.) Put the side of old chuck on block of wood. Hit pickle fork with hammer. Arbor pops off on second whack. Done.
 
I agree that the arbor is suspect. Guess I'll have to wait until Saturday for the "good" arbor to arrive. Gonna be a long wait. Can I say it again, this new chuck is really nice. It's so smooth. I would like to use it.
 
Yeah, Rohm Chuck's are good; Albrecht Chuck's are gooder! Someday ...
 
Yes, I've seen pics of the Albrechts, they look very nice.
