I don't know much about it. Electric motor is shot. Just curious if they're any good and what the value may be as I'm interested in purchasing.

I have a Canedy-Otto Royal 16 bench-top drill press. Very heavy and solid machine. More info is available at vintagemachinery.org.

I replaced the original motor with a large DC motor from an industrial conveyor and am running it from an MC-60 treadmill speed controller. I replaced the chuck and turned a new jacob's taper on the spindle.

I have a canedy-Otto royal 16 floor model. It is a beast! Very good construction and unstoppable.
