Hey crew, I'm having an issue with my back gear pin. When I pull it out to run slow speeds with the back gear engaged the pin is catching and making a clicking sound. It catches just a little bit twice on each revolution.

I drilled the roll pin and pulled it out. Everything looks just perfect on the pin. After looking at everything it appears as though hub is too close to plate it locks into. Does this make sense? What am I missing. It's a new to me machine in otherwise great shape.

Okay, I figured it out. The hub is press fit on and somehow had migrated forward putting it in contact with the plate. I removed the 6 cap bolts attaching plate to the pulley. Loosened the set screw on the socket and used a 3 jaw pulley puller to back the whole thing off an 1/8th of an inch. The back gear pin now clears perfectly when disengaged.

Hope this helps someone else in the future.

Does anyone know if they produced a service manual for these?
