Clausing 4900 carriage reinstall

I took apart my 4900 to get it in the basement. Now I can't get the carriage/compound back on the ways. Any thoughts?

Dont have a 4900, but you can always take off the lower gib strip, put the carraige back on, then re-install the strip.
