I backwash into the steel bin which is collected by the recycler
A sand filer will filter to about 30 micron using glass media brings it down to 3 micron
Mosy pool pumps will handle up 2.5mm solids
A grey water pump will handle 10-15mm solids
Ive been using a single pool pump for about 4 years with pumping the table up/down abut 3 times a week without any issue
I have 3 way valves on the pump inlet and filter outlet
