I have stumbled across one of these Sanders for what I feel is a great price. Pit is apparently designed as a wet sander for glass. Does anyone have any experience with one of these I would be using it in my home metal shop I'd be using it for metal wood possibly knife making maybe tool grinding doubtful but maybe..

I appreciate any thoughts on this matter to help me make a decision on whether to go get it or not. The price is less than $200

Not familiar with this kind of machine, but is sounds fascinating. Be sure to check for the availability of replacement belts.

What size belt?
Like hman, that's the only variable I can think of.

We'll, maybe they sold it or are just poor communicators but I have been unable to get back in contact with them to go look. They are 90 minutes away, so even though I have an address, I'm reluctant to go there ...

Ok I was able to pick it up today. Motor spina, sounds good. The only belt with the machine is broken so I need to order belts. Not sure what grit for general purpose so I am thinking silicone carbide 60 grit.. I have alot of rust to remove..

The first picture is be gluing the belt back together with a thick cloth backing so I could run it. Besides alot of rust it works well. I'll build a height / angle adjustable work table in place of the wheels and it should work well for general shop use (fingers crossed)
