Hey all, I recently received the Glass scale DRO I ordered from China. I took some time over the break to install it. Thought it might be helpful to someone else if I posted some pictures of how I did it.
Please look past the mess. I don’t know how I can work like that. Lol

I think over analyzing was the actual worst part of the install, followed closely by accounting for draft angles on the castings. I also recommend a set of transfer punches.

The cast iron drills and taps easily even without metric drill bits. I just used the closest fractional bit that I had (which is also what I do when a tap calls for a lettered drill)

I had to modify the brackets they sent to make them work. You need to be able to use the mill while you’re doing the install.
