I picked up a yanmar tiller (3pt) that someone had destroyed the outboard bearing and continued to run it....it was so loose the tines ate the sheet metal badly, they then repaired it with a loose bushing and a shim....I guess it worked but it rounded off the shaft end. I was able to install a bearing and custom make a race to keep it in place ....I removed the
damaged sheetmetal and welded perforated steel in its place ...the best part was that all the parts were already here
