I may be able to score a CXA Aloris tool post in okay condition, no holders. Would anyone be willing to trade a BXA with holders, if I threw in a reasonable amount for the holders themselves? I think it will be too large for my 12" lathe and don't want to struggle making adapters and adjustments if I do not need to.

I can take pictures if necessary.

Thanks

Scratch,

I don't have anything to trade nor any need for a CXA. But I can confirm that it would be much too large for any badge 12" that I know of. Whether a BXA would also may depend upon what badge you have. They are marginal on a 12" Atlas Commercial. The AXA works much better (and holders and other related tooling is less expensive). But it depends upon the vertical distance between the top of the compound swivel and the spindle axis.

I'd go with the AXA sized post as Robert mentions. A BXA is pretty hefty.
It'll work but it'll also take up a bunch of real estate.

Anyone have an ax’s they want to trade? If not it’ll go on eflay in a few days.

Do you still have the CXA?

My Logan came with a BXA toolpost and for some reason a bunch of CXA holders. Just unburied them tonight while looking for an extra toolholder for a knurling tool.

Scratch that, just saw the going-on-ebay comment
