DIY magnetic chip grabber

Consists of a paint ball tube (or end mill tube) and a magnetic parts retriever. Stick the magnetic head inside the paintball tube. Retract the magnet and the chips fall off.

As I look on the internet, I see a number of magnet wands for sale in Australia, to pick up swarf in he shop, but the few I see here in the U.S. are quite expensive. So I am now looking for plans to make my own. Does anyone know of any plans available ? I have a great magnetic floor sweeper...
