I bought a boring bar (new) on a whim. Paid $20 for it. No info on it because I believe it to be a discontinued bar. ~7" x .75". It's coolant through also, takes a C insert. Normally I can tell the difference between carbide and HSS tooling. I think this is carbide but the guy in the store said it was HSS.
Do they make coolant through bars out of HSS?
It weighs 600 grams which seems a little light for Carbide.
It has that dark gray color that doesn't feel super smooth. The same type of color as my smaller carbide bars.
