Se my earlier post for a couple of ideas.
Sorry for it being so long to get back. How it happened was a gorgon mill has gear driven power feeds, I engaged the feed the wrong direction and before I realized what I had done it caught a 1 inch raised area of the piece I was milling.
Since it was going the wrong direction it was climb milling and didn't like the feed rate.
The it'll buff out comment brings back a lot of memories, I delivered new vehicles for over 20 yrs.
