Drill/ Tapping Machine

Thought I would share a couple pics of my newest friend, a Jet Drilling/Tapping machine. Found the machine on the bay for pennies on the dollar. I do a lot of tapping and this has been a bunch of help. We are guessing mid 1970's running a full horse motor.

Newbie here! What makes that a "tapping" machine specifically? Speed or clutch drive? Just trying to learn. Thanks!

There is a switch built into the lever that allows you to change the direction almost instantly. I run the tap through twice just to clean up the treads on the second pass.

Nice machine Gary sure would nice to have, But I don't have that many wholes to tap.
