Anybody ever seen/used these? I bought 9 used ones all 1/4-20 at the flea market today along with a set of long feeler gauges with an angle towards the end for $3.00

Yup. I have some 1/4-20 DRAPS in the tool box. Did some production work on some 1/4" Al plate that had quite a few tapped holes. Worked great on the BP. Ran them about 1000-1100 RPM and just hit reverse and backed them out. I suppose on a CNC you would have to treat them as a tap once you got through the material and need to rigid tap with the appropriate feedrate.. They work fine on manual machines. Just don't exceed the length of the drill portion in material thickness. It will try to tap before the drill is done. Obviously not for blind hole work.

$3.00!! Nice score Charley, I am jealous.
Are the feeler gauges a "brand" name?

Cheers Phil
