I am looking around at configuring a dust collector for my small lathe. I have started to turn some epoxy resins and it is creating some dust. I have been wearing a mask so far but want to start capturing most of it.

What sort of small systems do you all use or recommend for a small room 12' long x12' wide x 8' tall with only the lathe making dust?

For a single source, a cheap HF or CL wood dust blower would be plenty. Use a flared capture fitting and keep the use of flexible duct to an absolute minimum. Cyclone should catch the long spirals and the filter bag should catch the rest. You can exhaust the system outdoors if you are generating fumes or vapors. Run a bare ground wire through your duct and use 4" PVC or S&D pipe to keep costs down.

Thanks, I am getting ready to install a bucket cyclone and get rid of most of my dust. I think I will have it exhaust outside after a filter. I really hate wearing a mask all the time.
Thanks for the input!!
