I bought this drill press at an auction last week.
I didn't need the head, just the table it is on.
Looking it over though it seems like a decent machine.
I opened it up and all the gears look good in it.
However, it is missing the handle, shaft and pinion gear to raise and lower the quill.
Are there any parts available for these things?
If you could find some it would make someone a nice little drill press.
Photos show how I bought it and one I grabbed off the net showing one like it that is attached to a lathe.
Thanks for any leads or info.

I would not be surprised if EMCO had spares for purchase. They are an Austrian company and the Maximat line is still in production. It might be worth contacting a good dealer for info.

Else, I bet you know a guy with a lathe who can make at least a couple of the parts you're missing!

Thanks John.
Yeah, shaft and handles would be easy enough.
As would any bushings a guy needed.
The lift spring on the quill is there which is good
I don't know if my skills are up to cutting the pinion gear for the rack on the quill however.
If I could just buy the gear it would make a nice little gear head drill.
Does anyone know if it uses a morse taper?
