ENCO 111-3310

Do you run a RPC or a VFD of some sort by chance? Curious how hard the wiring would be.

10 H.P. RPC from American Rotary.

Wired it up myself. Not too hard and there are videos out there showing pretty much step by step process on how to do it.

Very good. I think I may go this route instead of VFD. That way I could add a future machine to it. Thanks

Power.........

Often asked and there are many different answers.

Cheap and easy - Static phase converter, just wire it to the machine and go

Cheap and less easy - VFD, need to rework the machine electricals but you don't need to change belts anymore and infinitely variable speed is a very nice thing to have on a lathe. Read @mksj on here for tons of great advice.

- edit - Rotary phase converter - more expensive but if you plan to/have a whole shop with 3 phase machines it's a nice way to go.

Cheers,

John
