Picked this up yesterday in a box of machinist junk at the local flea market. Its an old No 00B SN 27054 pat Mar 9 1897 F.A. Errington NY tapping head. I took it apart and it has die cast gears so its prob from the 40's. Mine has a turned steel body. I saw another newer one on PM with a die cast body prob from the 50's...Bob

I just cleaned it all up. Took it apart and got all the old hard grease or hard oil and relubed it with spindle oil. It has a total of w 4 gears inside. It would make a nice project to make another one :)...Bob

One thing i want to do is make a few new parts to try it out. It has a #1MT arbor and i want to change that to a 1/2" stub and i also want to make a new shank to hold my Prociuner collets from my other tapping head. So i will make a few parts and see how it works...Bob
