Files - any recomendations?

I'm in the market for new files. Many of mine are dull, pinned, etc. A guy I work with recommends Grobet files as being high quality. Quality is a must as I have been dissapointed from Nicholson files as of late. What's the best brand?

Also, apart from Swiss needle files, what do you consider the makeup of a good set? In other words, types and sizes for general metal working.
