Recently I had to finger something real small on the mill and fished out a finger plate I fabri-cobbled ages ago. It was fit for for use on the drill press but I decided to make something better. This new version is ground all over, has a removable fence (also ground), 4 positions for the clamp screw and 2 sizes of grooves. It is fit for use on the mill and surface/T&C grinder. It's nice to work with nice tools :)

This is timely for me as I just squared up and surfaced a plate, and now trying to decide what the most useful features would be. Your design has some excellent points:

1) two V grooves, big and small
2) 90 and 180 degree swivel for flexibility
3) thru holes at V groove and 90 degree position
4) V groove in underside of clamp
5) clamp/vise arrangement at the 180 position looks very useful
6) slot in top clamp for extension as needed

I like it!

Glad you liked it.

That "clamp/vise arrangement at the 180 position" is a removable fence. It allows me to rest the work piece against it when milling to resist the cutting forces, when it's not possible to hold it against a vise jaw.
