Went for a hike up in the Santa Catalina mountains and came across a fire lookout. Although closed to the public, I encountered the lookout on duty and chewed the fat which lead to full access to the awesome view.

The 15'x15' post perched on Lemmon rock. The old pueblo (Tucson) is visible above the last range.

A little history on this lookout. The Osborn fire finder is still the #1 instrument employed to determine the azimuth.

The best 8700' office view a man could ask for. Three sides of the 225sf structure is glass. A lookout is part time from May-September (fire season).
