[Lathe] First Lathe: 10" Pratt & Whitney

that's gotta be one of the coolest bench lathes i have seen.
Very Cool!!!
:aok:

when mounting on it's chosen surface,
steel or wood, provision for 3 point attachment would be optimum for consideration.

Mr. Haines,

Beautiful machine!
Thanks for sharing so many photos, it is great to see an appreciation for old tools.

You have sooooo many incoming tools it must be like christmas. Congratulations.

However, it looks like your measuring tool changes capacity between "shots"......;)

I promise the ruler didn't go down even a millimeter! (Today)

It's really wonderful to finally be getting my greasy little hands on some of this stuff, but it has been minority frustrating that I haven't gotten any of it up and running in the shop yet!

Great find.
Get some Evapo-rust and soak those rusty colletts and other parts in it for a few days and they'll look like new.
Just make sure to totally cover it all with the liquid.

How does the Evapo-Rust work? Is it an acid? I was thinking of using a brass wire wheel on my flex shaft, that's what the seller did on several of them and it came out beautiful.

That stuff seems, well, magical!

Language edited out.
