Five Cylinder Radial With Ohc

Wow, machinist and videographer! Nice video Brian.
Dave

That is nice, Nice work on both the engine and the video.

Brian, many of us start out on small machines... you are an inspiration to all of us.
Thank you,
Bill

The next stage was to make the end plates that carry the front cam bearing.

All four made a light push fit in the cam box

Next reduce the cam box to its finished height, the dimension from the base to cam centreline must be spot on because this affects the cam belt tension.

Three more to do and all the fussy work with the cam followers.

Slowly slowly Brian.

Nice. I like the finish left by the fly cutter. Did you make the holder for your lathe insert?

Hi Bill . The holder is from an " economy " set I purchased about 8 years ago It's seen more work than I care to think about, still trying to wear out the original tips.

Todays work was to cut the holes for the cam followers .

The next job will be the access holes in the side of the cam box, cylinders No's 1 5 4 have the holes on the right and No's 2 3 on the left looking from the front of the engine.
Brian.
