Front Sight Pin Slots in Barrel?

Just looking for some ideas or input on cutting/milling the cross slots on AR barrels for a front sight base or gas block. Working on the holes in the FSB right now trying to keep them at the right height......

Going to save a lot of typing Heres a video A-2 sight install
There is also a video that shows how to install the same sight with opposing set screws that bear against milled flats on the barrel. This is a nice install bc it allows you to mechanically zero the rear sight for windage
