Some time ago I bought these because they were remarkably reasonably priced and I was sure I'd find a holder for them at some point.

So that didn't happen and whilst tidying today I was moving them to my drawer of miscellaneous thread cutting equipment I had an idea.
The nut & bolt stash yielded these -

I bored the nut halfway to clear the un-threaded section of the bolt then machined three sides to fit one of my QCTP holders

Assembled it looks like this -

And it actually works! :D

that sure is a small tool holder or you have giant hands.

Probably a little bit of both ;-)
My Myford Super 7 only swings 7 inches but can manage 30 inches between centres, the spindle has 30.5mm through capacity with a native ER40 nose, and being a Long Bed means the casting is also much deeper and more rigid than the short models, you can't get your hand under the lathe between the feet.
If I get into boat prop shafts I'll buy something bigger, but the Super 7 currently does all I need, including 10mm OD reductions on 30mm stainless with a shower of hot chips.
